Accessibility statement
My Simple Living wants everyone to be able to browse our homes, configure an order and reach us, regardless of ability or the technology they use. We design and test this website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we do
- Every image has a text description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- All pages, menus, forms and the configurator work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Form fields are labeled, errors are announced, and required fields are marked.
- Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content, and layouts adapt from phones to large screens.
- Color is never the only way information is shown, and text contrast meets the AA level.
- Animations respect your system's reduced-motion setting, and can be turned off in Accessibility options.
- The Accessibility options button (bottom right of every page) offers larger text, higher contrast, reduced motion and underlined links.
Ongoing work
We review new pages and features for accessibility before they go live and re-check the site regularly. Some photos and renderings come from suppliers and are described as accurately as we can; if a description is unclear, tell us and we will fix it.
